What is ISO 14001:2015?
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard and framework for environmental management systems (EMS). By adhering to this standard, organisations can ensure they are taking proactive measures to minimise their environmental footprint and comply with relevant legal requirements. The framework encompasses various aspects, from resource usage and waste management to monitoring environmental performance.
To be awarded this Environmental Management certification, several requirements must be met:

- Developing and implementing an EMS
- Conducting a thorough environmental impact assessment
- Setting environmental objectives and targets
- Monitoring and measuring environmental performance
- Continually improving the EMS based on regular reviews and evaluation
What we do to achieve this:

- We keep all material wastage to a minimum

- 95% of our timber is FSC or PEFC Certified from carefully managed and replenished stocks

- We repurpose offcuts to achieve only 2% timber wastage

- Our decking is made from recycled materials

- We install screw pile foundations that are friendly towards tree roots and creates zero spoil

- Our planning process mitigates for protected wildlife such as trees, hedgerows, newts, owls & more

- We closely manage deliveries for emission efficiency

- Our builds comply with regulated, safe discharge of waste and surface water

- Across all products we are A 95% + EPC Environmental Impact (CO2) Rating

- Our HQ is a licensed carrier for skips, sanitary and data/confidential waste
