Here are just some of the people who’ll be working hard to make your new garden annexe a reality. Learn more about our passionate, hard-working iHus team below.

Trevor Smeaton

Chief Executive Officer

Trev is the visionary and the driving force behind iHus, a man with a real “can do” attitude. Building iHUS and its company values have been passion-driven by the comments received from our very first customer, quite simply “thank you, you’ve changed our lives”. Trev aspires to build uncompromising, unrivalled homes in gardens that are very much tailored around you and your family. He wants you to be cosy and safe in your very own iHus.

Away from the office, Trev is a keen fitness enthusiast who enjoys everything from running and biking to skiing and walking with his wife, Maria. A proud dad of two grown-up kids who share the same passions. A can’t sit down type of person with an infectious zest for life!

James Lund-Lack

Managing Director

James is responsible for the overall operations of iHus, with a passion for driving efficiency through process and systems. A chartered construction manager, James switched from a twenty-year career in the marine industry to construction eight years ago. James is a qualified Yacht-Master, enjoys exercise, family time and making pizzas.

Jon Lister

Financial Director

Jon is responsible for the overall strategic & financial operations of iHus, with a flair for enabling growth through supporting entrepreneurship and building wealth and value for business and their owners. Jon is a chartered certified accountant since 1999, he has worked in accountancy practices, industry and recently spent a four-year stint as chair of trustees at a hospice. Jon enjoys good food, fine wine and family time and has a (not so) secret passion for baking.

Julian Horberry

Group Marketing Director

Julian is a highly creative, award winning proven brand and communication strategist. His career has seen him working both agency and client side, with an ultra-successful record for building and transforming brands, that have created shareholder, business and consumer value. He loves sport, all sport, both playing and watching.

Lydia Kilner

Sales & Office Assistant

Lydia has 13 years’ experience in the hospitality and customer service industry so she’s a real people person and loves being part of our lively team! Her passion is music, she was taken to her first concert when she was 5 and has been hooked ever since. A real softie when it comes to animals, and an even bigger one when it comes to her nephew. In her spare time, you’ll find her exploring the outdoors with her partner and their dog Jasper or spending a cozy night at home cooking up a storm.

Andrew Colley

Sales & Project Development Manager

Andy is a highly self-motivated & dedicated consultant with extensive experience across a number of sectors; passionate about enriching clients lives, accomplishing this with the best customer experience. A devoted husband and father to son Harry, when he’s not building the latest Lego set he’s out walking or pedalling the roads and trails of Yorkshire.

Nigel Wooldridge A.M.I.S.M.

Sales & Project Development Manager

Nigel is vastly experienced in sales and customer service. A true family man with a passion for travel and an eclectic taste in music. A caring and empathetic man, devoted husband to his wife Adele and father to his son Ben. Loves the social side of life, playing golf, watching football, music concerts and the theatre.

Kirsten Scott

Marketing Manager

Kirsten is an enthusiastic Marketing Manager with experience across various sectors including travel, education, medical and print. She loves to add her creative flare to all things marketing. Kirsten always has a big smile on her face and loves a good chat. In her spare time she’s either chilling out with her lovely partner or friends, or travelling the world; but her all time favorite pastime is… eating out!

Jan Hill

Customer Liaison Officer

Jan has an infectious smile and a great chuckle to go along with it!! She loves spending time with her four Grandchildren ice skating, taking trips and making memories. Jan often fundraises for the Alzheimer’s charity which is close to her heart, with memory walks and other challenging quests. Jan is very much customer-focused, you’ll find nothing is too much trouble for this lady.

Andy Nicklin

Design Manager

Andy brings a wealth of design and CGI expertise to the iHus Group and is the proud recipient of the iHus ‘bigger than you job’ award for 2 years running. When not working at full speed in the office Andy, married to his long-suffering Wife Sair and Dad/Stepdad to a 5-a-side football team loves 80’s horror ‘B’ movies, rock n’ roll and can be usually found on a weekend watching re-runs of Columbo for the umpteenth time.

Tom Gregory


Tom graduated university with a degree in product design and now puts these skills to work making our designs look the best they can! Outside of work Tom is a keen mountain biker, climber and coffee addict. When he’s not cycling around the Peak District, he’s busy finalising the CAD models of your very own garden projects.

Dane Hill


Dane prepares your quotation and creates the WOW visuals presentation, a real techie with a passion for anything computer related. An avid gamer and self-confessed couch potato but with a keen eye for detail. Dane is very much dedicated to presenting you with your new home in the garden.

Johannah Ault

Accounts Manager

Jo is the friendly gatekeeper and manager of finance operations for the iHus Group, she is very proud to be part of the iHus family. In the background, Jo is studying towards the CIMA Professional Qualification. At home and in her spare time she likes sharing a cocktail or two with friends, getting stuck into a good book and making silly, fun memories with Alex and Bella – her lively (not-so-little-anymore) children.

Chris Walker

Operations Director

Chris is responsible for the entire build and installation programme within iHus. Chris has operated within the construction industry for the past 20 years in a variety of roles, from business management to project management, always focusing on delivering success through effective leadership and operational efficiency. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in management practice which he recently undertook alongside his ‘day job’. When he is not working or studying, you’ll find him out walking with his dog (Teddy) or doing whatever he is told to do by his wife and daughter.

Kevin Ryan

Project Manager

Kevin has over 40 years experience in the construction industry. He undertook a joinery Apprenticeship on leaving school and ran his own joinery/ timber frame erection business before taking up contract/project management roles over 10 years ago. He is happily married with 4 daughters, 4 grandchildren and a Border Terrier called Max. In his spare time Kevin enjoys travelling, eating out, live music concerts, theatre and walking Max. He is a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest and enjoys watching all sport.

Wayne Playfair

Factory Manager

Wayne has worked within the construction industry since leaving school. He has a vast knowledge of products and materials and has worked in some of the largest builders merchants in the UK. During his free time, he enjoys spending quality time in the outdoors, camping and making memories with his wife and three sons.

David Wassell

Chief Buyer

Dave is an experienced procurement professional with 10 years of experience. He has worked in a variety of construction environments from house building to large scale electrical installations. Out of the office, you will find Dave in the national parks of the UK, Paddleboarding, surfing, mountain biking, running or just walking bear, his dog …… anything moving after a long week in the office.

Jason Clarke

Proprietary Build Manager

Jason has been in the construction industry from leaving school (a long time ago) working both in the UK and abroad, holding many construction qualifications. Jason’s interests include classic cars, the great outdoors, skiing when he gets the chance, travelling in his VW camper and sometimes talking to the wife. Jase has a great ‘lets get this done’ attitude as well as a love of cups of tea and the odd biscuits.

Matt Hassett

Project Manager

Matt is a qualified commercial surveyor (AssocRICS) with a varied background in real estate, development and most recently, health sectors. He is a sports enthusiast who can be found on the golf course most weekends, Matt likes to keep active, socialise and access the outdoors. He enjoys spending time with his young family and exploring new places.

Kelly Watson


Kelly is a busy mum of two young children with a love of exercise, mainly so she can try and keep up with them! Kelly’s roles in administration include the education and the care sector. In her spare time she enjoys the great outdoors and also socialising with friends and family… especially when it involves a glass of red wine.
