In the idyllic greens of Styrrup Golf Course in Doncaster, an event of significance is set to tee off. As the UK’s leading Granny Annexe company, giving back to people in need is at the heart of what we do. This time, we’re hosting a charity event for Macmillan Cancer Support – an organisation whose mission touches countless lives nationwide. Our event takes place on Saturday 7th October 2023.
Macmillan’s Unwavering Commitment
Many individuals perceive Macmillan as more than just a charity; it serves as a beacon of hope for millions. When a person receives a cancer diagnosis, it triggers a whirlwind of emotions, questions, and decisions. Macmillan steps in during these overwhelming moments, providing physical, financial, and emotional support. Whether it’s guidance on treatments, assistance with financial matters, or someone to confide in, Macmillan ensures that no one faces cancer alone.
For numerous patients and their families, Macmillan nurses become the foundation of their support system, guiding them through treatments and delivering compassionate care. In addition to medical advice, the charity acknowledges the holistic needs of those affected by cancer, offering resources such as information centres, support groups, and a 24/7 helpline.
The Styrrup Golf Course Event: Teeing Off for a Great Cause
Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Styrrup Golf Course, our fundraising event aims to raise both funds and awareness for this fantastic charity. Starting off with a two course meal, followed by an evening of friendly competitions, raffles, entertainment, camaraderie, and, most importantly, commitment to a cause that resonates with so many. The evening guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about Macmillan’s work directly from representatives.
