On Saturday 7th October, iHus hosted our first ever charity evening in aid of raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The sold out event, hosted at Styrrup Golf Course in Doncaster, operated on a ticket only basis, which featured a two course meal, live entertainment from The Steve Love Band, and a raffle.
Our evening attendees each sponsored a table as well as buying tickets for the event, of which the funds directly contributed to the work being done by Macmillan Cancer Support, helping them provide crucial care to those affected by cancer. Our table sponsors included Spinks, Enterprise Accountancy, LEW Electrical, Huws Gray, VSL, SolarFrame, Travis Perkins, JMN Property Solutions Ltd and Clay Lane Construction Limited.
The evening was a great success, and we are thrilled to announce we raised a total of £4,646.57.
Speaking of the event, James Lund-Lack, managing director of iHus, said: “We’re very proud to have hosted this event, in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
“Macmillan do amazing work and I am incredibly proud that we can support them and give back to their team.
“It was great to welcome all the generous sponsors to our event as we stand united in the fight against cancer. It was a very emotional evening, as cancer is an illness that affects so many people, including many that were at the event itself, so I’m very pleased we could all come together to support Macmillan Cancer Support and do our bit to help such a worthy cause.“
Lisa Martin, Yorkshire area manager for Macmillan, said: “As the area fundraising manager for Yorkshire for Macmillan Cancer Support, I want to say the biggest thank you to everyone at iHus.
“Back in 2019, I myself received the devastating news that I had cancer and found myself being supported by Macmillan at every angle.
“This support was vital for me, my family, and also my colleagues. The support we offer, whether it be the Macmillan Support Line or our fantastic nurses, wouldn’t be possible without companies like iHus.
“From the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone at iHus.”
